8×10 & NYC Residencies

We’ll be back at the 8×10 for our annual residency starting on Wednesday August 25th. We’ve got a limited number of tickets for sale with lower convenience fees on Bridge Ticketing. We personally selected the openers so come out early as they will not disappoint: 8/25- Zach Deputy, 9/1 – The Brew, 9/8- Yarn, 9/15 – The Quick and Easy Boys.

Prior to each of the 8×10 shows our friends at Mothers are having a pre-party. Show your ticket stub for a free Yuengling and possibly a free parking space. Plus $3 Newcastle or heiny and $9.99 for a fresh fish entre, try the “Bridge’s Buffalo Shrimp”. www.mothersgrille.com

We’re excited to be on the killer lineup of Hot August Blues this year in Oregon Ridge State Park in Cockeysville, MD that includes Lyle Lovett, Keb Mo’, Black Joe Louis and the Honeybears, and many more.

The Bridge headlines Equifunk Friday night August 20th with 2 sets. plus a special late night show with Big Sam’s Funky Nation. Bonnaroo and Beyond

Hello friends, hope everyone is good. This is an exciting time for us. We have just arrived in Portland to record our 3′rd, 4′th, or 5′th album. (depending how you count it) We truly feel blessed that our west coast family has again opened up their hearts and homes to The Bridge. Thank you. Taking our own homegrown family out here to complete this album, it is an electric time in our lives. We have great trust and optimistic anticipation in the driver’s seat.
Summer technically hasn’t even started yet, and we’ve enjoyed some great festivals. Right off the heels of Bonnaroo, we felt honored to be part one of the largest throw downs east of the Mississippi. Our set was right in the crossroads of a city of people in the middle of the hot, Tennessee wilderness. Festivals allow people to be a part of an alternate environment, manifested as a town or a city of people all there for music and a good time. Our Delfest late night set, which lasted until nearly 5am, featured a many guests including Ronnie McCoury on mandolin and can be downloaded FREE HERE.
Well be working hard but enjoying our time, so everyone else do the same and we will see you soon.

It’s Summer Festival Season!

Thanks for stopping by. Please be sure to look at the tour page for a complete list of all new shows. Thank you to the New England crew for making us feel right at home this past weekend. Anyway here’s the scoop.

This weekend is the kick-off of the 2010 festival season and we are ready! First we are Illinois bound for one of the greatest festivals in the Mid-West. Summercamp’s line-up is too good too and large to start rambling, so check it out, and come on out. If not, Saturday in Cumberland, MD is Delfest, one of our favorite festivals, period. A true celebration of bluegrass tradition and the McCoury musical legacy, and in our own backyard, we can not wait to enjoy the music in the mountains. It will be a nice way to slip in to this summer’s festivities.

Those travels will be taking us back and forth across the great divide. So we can make music for everyone to enjoy. We would love to see you guys out there, and hear from you right here. Please say hello and keep telling your friends to check us out, and then do the same.

Baltimore Residency Announced!

First off, we would like to thank Greg, Jessica, and Keith from Blue Sky Factory for their awesome job in designing our new website! On to the news….

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, you want it, you got it. Starting in August we’ll be back in Baltimore for a series of home games every Wednesday just how you like it, at the historic 8×10 club. We are really looking forward to having every week with our best friends and family.

Before then we’ve got a bunch of shows to have fun and work on some of our new songs. We’ve got a few shows in New England, and then it’s summer festival season! The Bridge will be hitting Summercamp, Delfest, Mountain Jam, Wakarusa, and eventually Bonnaroo. It’s our first time at many at these festivals, so we’ll be showcasing a new standard of musicality. After that, we’re off to Portland to produce our next album.

We’ve been home for a minute, but things are about to pick up quick. We have a lot to share with you guys, so grab your tent and come on out! In the meantime, let us know what you think by sharing your comments below.

Spring has Sprung!

Well it’s nice to be home from tour and out of the cold, but we are busy as ever and really excited about everything going on. We’ve been practicing hard and getting a whole bunch of new songs together for live play and an upcoming recording. Well be working in the studio all next week with Steve Berlin, of Los Lobos where we hope to solidify and craft these new songs, in this important stage in the creative process. Steve has worked with many great artists over the years, and we are excited and honored to team up and make music.

Jam in the Dam was everything we don’t remember it being; exciting, fun, beautiful, and full of good people and music. Please check out the pics and reviews. Thanks to moe and all their fans who made snoe.down such a blast as well.

This week we’re heading south through Blacksburg Virginia, Athens and Atlanta Georgia, and Charleston South Carolina. Come out and show us what the best the east coast has to offer. Thanks to everyone who came out to the holiday shows. We had a great time at the Whiskey, and at the 2 nights at Rams Head Live, on Thanksgiving Eve and New Years Eve. We’re on shore leave for a few weeks, before we hit the trail, stop in on the tour page to check out the new 2010 tour dates! Also, we have new merchandise! It’s available at shows, and BRIDGE MERCH HERE

We’re doing a residency on the West Coast in February: Tuesday nights in San Francisco, Friday nights in Eugene OR, and Saturday nights in Portland OR. During the residency, we’ll also be doing shows in Arcata, Bellingham, Bend, Tahoe, Santa Cruz, Sebastopol, and others. Check out our website for more show info, and presale tickets.
